We are very excited to announce a great new liveaboard trip for September and October 2014; we will be hosting a 9 night trip to the incredible Komodo National Park aboard one of the newest boats in Indonesia, the MV Ambai!

Komodo is one of our favourite diving destinations in Indonesia as it includes such a dense and varied mix of schooling fish, healthy coral, and lots of invertebrates for macro afficionados.  Highlights of the itinerary will include Cannibal Rock and interacting with Komodo dragons in Horseshoe Bay, the Mantas of Manta Alley and other manta sites, black sand diving at Sangeang Volcano, and diving on the rich coral reefs that have made Komodo famous.   For photographers, the Komodo itinerary offers the perfect mix of both macro and wide-angle photo opportunities with a plethora of muck and critter diving as well as healthy coral gardens and a large manta population.  Late September is one of the best times to dive in Komodo as the weather is incredible at that time of year with very little chance of rain!

This 9 night trip will take place from 25 September to 4 October 2015, it will depart from Bima and return to Labuan Bajo; which means there will be no long crossings and ample opportunity for night dives.  We know the Komodo National Park area very well and we will be working closely with the Ambai cruise director and crew in order to choose the best sites at the best times of day in order to enjoy our dives to the fullest.

One of the biggest attractions for this trip is the economical price point!  This 9 night trip is available at only 2120 Euro (with an extra 40 Euro Park Fee payable onboard) based on accommodation in twin or double shared room.  We will enjoy a low divemaster to guest ratio of maximum 4 divers per DM along with 3 dives per day plus 6 night dives during the trip.  The price also includes 3 meals per day, snacks, soft drinks and drinking water; the price does not include beer or alcoholic drinks (guests can bring duty free bottles if they desire).  Nitrox and larger tanks are available at an extra charge.
